Awareness of The New Normal Life Program is Still Weak, College Students of Universitas Negeri Malang Educate Housewifes on Empowering Family Welfare Event in Jambearjo Village Indonesia

Thursday (11/6) a socialization of the “New Normal” policy was implemented to the Family Welfare Assistance Member. This socialization was carried out at BPU Building of Jambearjo Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency by College Students of Biology Education Universitas Negeri Malang in 2020. Attended by 50 members of the Family Welfare Assistance (PKK), Chairman of Village Government, Chairperson of the Family Welfare Development Mobilization Team, Secretary of Village Government, Village Midwives, Village Nurses, and College Student of Biology Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Malang. The activities took place with due observance to Covid-19 prevention protocols such as setting up a hand-washing place, setting the distance of seats, and calling on all elements involved to use masks.

The socialization of the “New Normal” policy to the Family Welfare Assistance (PKK) is one of the work programs of Thematic KKN XVII UM group college students for educating the public about Covid-19 and “New Normal” life. Mohammad Soekarno Putra as the speaker in this activity gave a response that “New Normal is a program initiated by the government to increase economic activities where daily activities may be carried out but coupled with health protocols such as wearing Masks, Social Distancing, using Hand Sanitizers, etc.”.

Then, the Thematic KKN Student group XVII UM also introduced an e-book that was created in collaboration with a medical expert in its preparation. With this socialization, it is hoped that the people of Jambearjo Village can be educated and ready to lead a “New Normal” life.
